Procurement Services is a department within Financial Affairs, a division of Business and Administrative Services (BAS).The department is charged with purchasing all types of goods and services needed to support the educational mission of the University. It is the goal of Procurement Services to provide a high level of professional customer service, while ensuring compliance with federal, state and local regulations. Best value solutions are sought through fair procurement practices that promote diversity and sustainability.
Selected candidate will be required to pass a criminal history background check.
Analytical skills necessary to evaluate the quality and cost effectiveness of purchasing options.
Ability to communicate effectively both in writing and verbally.
Ability to read and interpret terms and conditions of basic contracts.
Understands ERP/financial systems (such as Oracle, PeopleSoft, SAP, Banner, et cetera).
Some knowledge of the organization's departments and operations required.
Proficiency in the use of standard spreadsheet and word processing software.
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
