The Biostatistics and Bioinformatics Research Center at Cedars-Sinai is seeking a postdoctoral research fellow interested in conducting research in early phase cancer trials. The center has currently 4 faculty, 5 staff engaged in a wide range of statistical and bioinformatics research and collaborations including but not limited to, design of early phase cancer trials using Bayesian adaptive design, bioinformatics, computational biology, big data mining, survivorship prediction, biomarker identification, and pathway and network constructions with multi-source genomic data, genetic epidemiology, and risk prediction. The post-doctoral research fellow will collaborate with faculty members on developing statistical methods for dose combination trials and collaborative cancer research projects. Supervision and mentorship of the post-doctoral research fellow will be under the direction of Dr. Mourad Tighiouart. Learn research methods that directly relate to the scientific projects with limited direction and supervision. Collaborate on a variety of projects in early phase cancer trials. Develop scientific writing and presentation skills, including grant proposals, manuscript preparation, and formal regional and national seminars. Analyzes and interprets findings relating to research and/or clinical trials according to established practices and in compliance with HIPAA guidelines. Performs a variety of increasingly complex biostatistical programming and analytical assignments. May assists or collaborate in preparation of grant proposals, protocol designs, publications, and presentations.
