Reporting to the Office of Undergraduate Admissions Associate Director of Technology, the Production Support Analyst will process a wide variety of analytical data and produce routine, single data sources information requests.
Assess and produce relevant, standard, or custom information (reports, charts, graphs and tables) from structured data sources by querying data repositories and generating the associated information. Distribute and disseminate reports to applicable agencies, researchers, management and other internal end-users (e.g., produce operational reports showing application status, identifying exceptions, etc., mainly from the Technolutions Slate prospect and admission database and the Universitys PeopleSoft database using Oracle OBIEE, Brio Reporting, Tableau and/or other reporting tools to streamline operations). Develop and produce dashboards, key performance indicators, and other recognized metrics used to monitor and report organizational performance. Collect, manage and clean datasets related to the report generation requiring vigilance in reviewing the quality of complex data sets received from various sources (e.g., prospect lists from testing organizations and other sources to ensure quality data). Research and reconcile data discrepancies occurring among various information systems and reports (e.g., manage data mismatches for information that is delivered from multiple sources; quickly resolve data mismatches between various application pieces Common App, Coalition App, test scores, school forms to ensure timely review of applications). Participate in the implementation of data standards and common data elements for data collection. Identify new sources of data and methods to improve data collection, analysis and reporting (e.g., assist with setting up the PeopleSoft system to accept data sets annually; generate reports in the form of complex communications with students often involving pulling data from multiple sources; apply creativity to improve reports; identify trends and suggest new ways to improve the collection of data). May test prototype software and participate in approval and release process for new software (e.g., quarterly regression testing as new PeopleSoft patches are delivered; testing and reviewing new functionality in Slate or other applications as well as system setup).

Minimum Education and Experience Required
Bachelors degree or a combination of education and relevant experience. Experience in a quantitative discipline such as economics, finance, statistics or engineering.
Minimum Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required
Basic knowledge and demonstrated experience using and applying analytical software, database management system software, database reporting software, database user interface and query software, and data mining software. Ability to collect data using a variety of methods, such as data mining and hardcopy or electronic documentation study, to improve or expand databases. Strong listening, verbal and written communication skills. Ability to manage multiple activities in a deadline-oriented environment, highly organized, flexible and rigorous attention to detail. Ability to use logic to calculate data; efficiently construct a database or scrutinize the form of a question. Ability to work with data or varying levels of quality and validity. Demonstrated ability to produce data in a clear and understandable manner meeting user requirements. Ability to work effectively with multiple internal and external customers.
Certificates and Licenses Required
Constantly perform desk-based computer tasks. Frequently sit, sort, file paperwork or parts, grasp lightly, and use fine manipulation, lift, carry, push and pull objects that weigh 10 pounds or less. Occasionally write by hand, twist, bend, stoop and squat. Rarely stand, walk, reach or work above shoulders and use a telephone.
